soundtracks, will I hear it?
I am thinking about putting only the 5.1 audio soundtrack on a DVD
I assume the DVD will mix the channels together if it has onboard decoder and the sound settings are changed to analogue output, so will I hear the sound on a TV that is mono (i.e. portable TV) cheers |

Yes u r. Each standalone has a downsampler circuit that will convert the digital stream to a stereo one that can be heard from a tv.

What u r actually saying is that when u select a dts audio and u r watching the movie from a tv-set the standalone actually outputs the dd stream downsampled to stereo?
