Thank you for your answer

Yes I reinstalled all three. I even switched back to avisynth 2.5.8. I now tried out with simplest avs file having only 1 line, namely "Version()" and get error message quite fast. So error is not related to avs contents.

Some additional info for case where a "real" avs is used:

Ripbot264 processes to the point where it creates subtitles (a ssa file which is created by my avs script too). This means that Ripbot processes entire avs file. It also creates a .d2a file for mp3 which is included in avs script. So something goes wrong after all this processing.

VirtualDub plays the avs file without problems. I tried with StaxRip, MeGui and avanti and they all encoded without problems. But RipBot is really my favorite, and I would like to continue to use it.

Would it be possible to know which tool causes the specific error message? Wich tool wants to write (or read?) this file test.log? I noticed that in directory avs2yuv such a file exists, but it is created when RipBot264 is installed.

1) open cmd.exe as administrator
2) run getAVSerror.cmd from console
3) Has test.log been created in C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1 ?

No, console log is (I inserted a PAUSE)

Code:
C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1>C:

C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1>cd "C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1"

C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1>"C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Kevin\Eigene Dateien\Downloads\RipBot264v1.17.5\Tools\avs2yuv\test.exe" "C:\Temp\RipBot264t
emp\job1\getinfo.avs"
Reading 1 / 1

C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1>PAUSE
Drücken Sie eine beliebige Taste . . .
and this creates in "...\job1" a file called

info.txt

with contents:

Code:
240
24.000000
0
0
0
440
80
was for avs with only version() statement. This seems logical as getinfo.avs contains

Quote:
Import("C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Kevin\Eigene Dateien\SMIL\BSG10\Version.avs").ConvertToYV12()
WriteFile("C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\info.txt","Framecount")
WriteFile("C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\info.txt","Framerate")
WriteFile("C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\info.txt","AudioRate")
WriteFile("C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\info.txt","AudioChannels")
WriteFile("C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\info.txt","AudioLength")
WriteFile("C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\info.txt","Width")
WriteFile("C:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\info.txt","Height ")
Trim(0,-1)

Exception EFOpenError in Module RipBot264.exe at 000235DA. (Possible Solution)

Finally I got RipBot264 1.17.5 working again. I cannot pinpoint the cause of the problem.

As last resort I moved the whole RipBot264 directory to another disk, and starting RipBot264 from there got it working.

configure ffdshow like this

Perhaps your OS does not have Windows Media Player with vc-1 decoder installed like Windows 7.

Audio
Format : Speex
Codec ID : 11
Duration : 1h 21mn
Channel(s) : 1 channel
Sampling rate : 11.025 KHz
Bit depth : 16 bits
Compression mode : Lossy
Is it possible somehow to make Ripbot recognize audio compressed with Speex codec ? Was just wondering since player recognizes it fine but when I load file in ripbot it tells me there is no audio track

Ripbot without LAN Problem

Since I´ve updated my Ripbot it doesn´t work.

I´ve a Single PC without LAN-Connection.

Ripbot try to start always the Server Client and get the error
"Source File could not be Indexed".

I don´t need this Server-Lan-fuction. How can I deaktivate the Sever-Lan function????

OK
you mean ....
change this in ripbot264.ini:

---------------------
// Supported input formats AVI / FLV / MP4 / MKV / DVD / HD-DVD / Blu-ray
UseDistributedEncoding=0
----------------------------

What is about supported input formats (AVI,FLV,MP4,DVD,HD-DVD,BD) ?

Are this the Input formats only for DistributedEncoding?
Or are they now deaktivated for whole Ripbot?

PS:
After change to 0 it works.

Atak, I'm very pleased that you got a new setup from such a generous Metaphor. Your hard work in creating the incredible software that we use is just outstanding. I also am very grateful as all of my Blu-rays have been converted with your incredible software.

If you have a moment, for the first time in a long time, I'm experiencing a problem. I did re-arrange my physical temp drives around. But the drive letter is the same. But now, when I'm trying to add a blu-ray to the queue, it hangs on "Please Wait... Demuxing selected streams... 1%" and never moves from there. Hunger Games: Catching Fire, actually never got past Analyzing Streams...

I've searched through the thread, but I could gain any insight into this problem. Thanks very everything, again. Your work and software is incredibly appreciated.

First thought. Bad rip ? New encryption not removed correctly by AnyDVD ? Are you using win8? I'm guessing now.

I do have AnyDVD installed on this computer, but for the most part, I do not use it to rip anything on it. I've tried three different discs with all of the same results. I even have an old rip sitting on the server that I tried.

Win8, not a chance. I'm not that masochistic.

Do you still have a debug version available? It's not putting anything in the Logs folder yet.

Try ripping your BDs with latest AnyDVD. Also you can manually execute Blu-Ray_ExtractStreams.cmd in /Job1/ folder to see if there is any error message in console.
