Smartripper 2.41 nasty bugs
Didn't quite know which forum to post this to but I figured I'd warn of SR2.41 here.
The .D2V file it generates *always* specifies a framerate of 25000 (i.e. PAL) even if you are dealing with a NTSC copy. This, of course, causes heavy audio-sync errors. I guess you can always change this manually to 23976 (which it should be). Another problem I noticed with this version is that if I run DVD2AVI over the VOBs and then feed the DVD2AVI (1.75) .D2V file into MPEG2DEC.DLL Avisynth blows up on the MPEG2SOURCE line. If you use the .D2V generated by Smartripper it works fine. Something must have changed that causes this behavior. Earlier SR versions work without problems. Probably hold off on this one. |
