Nero Recode - does it recode?

Hello, this is my first post here, Love this forum

I have a Samsung HTIB home cinema system that does not want to play duplicated dvd's, I think it is CCE or something.

I have found that taking an image of the original disc, running it through Nero Recode without rescaling (keeping 100% Video Quality) will remove the copy protection and allow me to play the disc.

My question number one: Is there any applications to check if this CCE copy protection is included on the disc? Just to see if I have to recode it at all...

Question number two: Does Nero Recode actually recode the disc when i don't change the video quality? The whole process from recoding to done burning the disc only takes about 10-15 mins.

Well, it is in the Newbie category, that explains my current knowledge about this

With regards, FreiR
