Extracting DTS-HD track with tsmuxer/eac3to
I am trying to pull the DTS-HD track from a BD (Inception). I've tried using tsmuxer and eac3to. Each time I do, the resulting .dts file has a runtime of 6:02:06. When I change tsmuxer to "Downconvert DTS-HD to DTS" or eac3to to -core, the file is 2:28:06, which is correct. Is there something I'm not doing right?

Are you viewing the DTSMA with MediaInfo?
It always reports the raw elementary audio (HD audio: .dtsma/.thd) as false times. .thd+ac3 and .thd don't show a duration at all. If you convert those to AC3 or other formats, it'll show up properly. I've just started to play around with all this when I finally bought a bluray drive for my PC. I'm currently playing around with everything. I notice that when the audio is demuxed, the .dtsma is just about double the time length. Daredevil Chapter 1 Only .dtsma Quote:

My problem is TSMuxer won't even downconvert the DTS-HD track to DTS on any movie I try. Even MultiAVCHD fails to do it. It just keeps the HD audio in the file no matter if you check downconvert or not. Are there some settings I'm unaware of that I should adjust to be able to get this done correctly?

try
eac3to x:\path\to\file x:\path\to\output -core that should give you the dts track eg. Code:
D:\DISC_RIPS>eac3to salt.dtsma salt.dts -core DTS Master Audio, 5.1 channels, 24 bits, 48kHz (core: DTS, 5.1 channels, 24 bits, 1509kbps, 48kHz) Extracting DTS core... Creating file "salt.dts"... eac3to processing took 26 seconds. Done.
