Dunno but it doesn't concern BeLight...
Then is it within bsn.dll or even BeSweet?

what do you mean by different extension ?
sorry, different file type (translation mistake).
As in audio.wav --> audio.mp3, but no audio.wav ---> whatever-name-I-would-like-to-use.mp3

try directly with Nero Bundle...if you have the same issue with it, your input file might be the problem. Otherwise if all seems to be ok then BeSweet can be the problem.

I did. I wouldnīt have bothered u without trying all options... Thatīs what I think is weird. Because I set a new name for the output file in Save..., no errors there (msgs or long abnormal filenames), but it ends up being the same as the input. Maybe Iīm the only one getting this.
Also, when using AC3 sources the Dynamic Compression checkbox always gets checked back to On (Normal) after I de-select it and move the mouse inside of the "file-list window" and back. If mouse position doesnīt enter that window-thingy, the checkbox doesnīt change the selection.

Edited:
found the trashed compression issue on incorrect dllīs versions (aac.dll was not from the last release, a copy-paste glitch when updating/moving some folders). Sorry.

Hi, what exactly is the difference between bse_WinampAacPlusV2_6ch.dll -v 1 and bse_WinampAacPlusV2_6ch.dll -v 2?

As i know ist
aac+ v1 = aac + sbr
and
aac+ v2 = aac + sbr + ps

But parametric stereo is only availlable in stereo mode.

This stands for the core encoder. Either v1 or v2 are available. With v2 you can achieve Parametric Stereo.

yes...for multichannel only sbr part is used with both versions.

So bse_WinampAacPlusV2_6ch.dll -v 1 and bse_WinampAacPlusV2_6ch.dll -v 2 does exactly the same? (Just to be sure, because i read somewhere that v2 has a different way to modulate)

I made a short test with a 5.1 AC3 and compared it with fc -> no differences. So it seems that you are right.

I use belight to encode some wav into mp3 (i use avi2wav which extracts audio stream from video files and saves it as wav),but i even though belight says encodning is complete i don't get any output files! Here's the log:

Code:
BeSweet v1.5b31 by DSPguru.
--------------------------
Using hip.dll v1.19 by Myers Carpenter <myers@users.sf.net>
Using lame_enc.dll v1.32 (12/9/2005), Engine 3.97 <http://www.mp3dev.org/>.

Logging start : 01/06/06 , 19:28:27.

BeSweet.exe -core( -input D:\Torrents\TV Shows\PSP\Wonder Showzen - s01e01 - Birth.wav -output D:\Torrents\TV Shows\PSP\Wonder Showzen - s01e01 - Birth.mp3 -logfile D:\Torrents\TV Shows\PSP\Wonder Showzen - s01e01 - Birth_2.log ) -azid( -c normal ) -ota( -hybridgain ) -lame( -b 144 )

[00:00:00:000] +------- BeSweet -----
[00:00:00:000] | Input : D:\Torrents\TV Shows\PSP\Wonder Showzen - s01e01 - Birth.wav
[00:00:00:000] | Output: D:\Torrents\TV Shows\PSP\Wonder Showzen - s01e01 - Birth.mp3
[00:00:00:000] | Floating-Point Process: Yes
[00:00:00:000] | PostGain normalize to : 0.97
Error 47: Error with LAME dll!
Quiting...
[00:00:00:000] Conversion Completed !

Logging ends : 01/06/06 , 19:28:27.
It appears to have some error with the lame enc dll.Although i tried encoding some other mp3 i had into mp3,and they were fine,it's just in those wav that i get this error.

Hi,

Could you post somewhere a short sample of your wav file ?

All in all, BeSweet is able to transcode audio stream from avi to mp3...So, demux is not needed in this case. For that, you need BeLight 0.21. AVI as input file is not supported yet with 0.22 branch...

Actually it was saves as wav from avi2wav but it was an mp3!When i used avicodec to determine what kind of file it was it said something about mp3 dsh. Also i used vdubmod to demux as mp3 and it still gave me an error!

I'll try the version 0.21 and will notify you if the problem persists.

I tried it and it didn't work with avi input. It just popped a dos screen that disappered instantly. On the other hand i managed to transcode the so called wav (dsh mp3) but it took too darn long.

What are your thoughts?

1/ File --> Open and select all your input files.
2/ Click on mp3 tab and select bitrate Mode with 128kbps. The slidebar is helpful.
3/ Click on "Start Processing" to run the process.

BeLight 0.22xxx is required. (try the daily build first).

@All: a new build will be out very soon...

It should be ok now in the last daily build.

Great. Iīll test the s**t out of it...
Did u enabled the .mux input features? cause I was hoping to beta-test it also with large files (> 2Gb), and using the .mux format allows me to keep the different-channel WAVs < 1Gb, therefore not bugging DirectShow.
A workaround to large files could be to enable .avs input. Iīve opened with .avs scripts all the large files that DirectShow used to choked on (but Iīm not a coder myself, donīt know if this would require too much unnecessary code rewriting to be achievable).
