2nd dvd of split dvd method chapters messed up

can any one help. ive used the spit dvd into 2 method. the first disc every thing works great, the menu and extras work like there supposed to. however the second disc is the opposite. the movie plays form strart to finish but i cant forward skip chapters (the navigation buttons on my renmote dont work in the movie on dvd2) it keeps playing the same first chapter, also the menu extras dont work . i think the chapter addresses are wrong or something like this. can sonmeone confirm this and is there a solution to this.

am i right in thinking that the ifo files on the second disc are pointing to the first disc addresses. can any one please help.
