"No TimeMap" message

I have a rip in movie mode on my hdd, including vts_xx_x.ifo and video_ts.ifo. Now startet IfoEdit, VobExtras, strip streams and the other stuff (create new ifos and so on)...

At the end there comes the normal "finished"-message, but followed by the message box:
Code:
There is no TimeMap table
Skipping TMAP table creation
Any reason to worry about my result? Or is it just an information?

Just informative. But it does mean that the disk (original and copy) does not support "search by time".

I did a movie only copy (with preserving chapter points) with IfoEdit. What consequences has "not support 'search by time'" for me? No fast forward/rewind? No jump forward/backward by chapter?

Not at all, some players support seeking by time as well as chapters. The time map is used for this.

Oh, well, so it's nothing that I need.

Does the absence of the time map (no entry for vts_tmapti) mean you cannot random seek at all? Just fast forward, rewind and jump to chapters?

This might be an answer to the problem I am struggling with here. My split disc1 can't seek within the extras and advert videos (although UOPs removed)...and indeed the corresponding ifos don't have a time map...

If this is the cause, is there some way to create such a time map to enable seeking?

BTW: I have seen some time maps with a few 'discontinuity entries' (as reported by ifoedit, these have negative values...what's the deal with these?
