Scenarist's DVD on VLC Media Player

Hi,
I've made DVD using Scenarist SD. It plays well on every player I have except VLC Media Player. It looks like it has some problems with reading subpictures with buttons highlights because when I'm switching between the buttons, the highlight color doesn't change. Where's the problem? Am I doing something wrong or is it the program's dysfunction?
Thanks in advance for your help.

What is more, everything works, function works. The only problem is that it doesn't display buttons highlights properly.

1) Some software player's subpicture highlight implementation may be faulty for some builds, then be improved.
You may countercheck against MPC-HC and MPC-BE (less strict), PowerDVD, TMT (these should be more strict).
2) To react more snappy some software players may be rendering "Button Activated" subpicture colour not long enough to be recognised before executing command.
Maybe 0,25s should be a good "Button Activated" minimum showtime, but this would delay navigation execution by the same amount.

Thanks for your help. I will check it. Do you use Scenarist SD and know how to change the "Button Acitivated" showtime?

Yes, I do - and you cannot change this. The speed this colour disappears is absolutely 100% down to the speed of the player, with set top boxes being the slowest & software being the fastest.
Most authors don't worry about it as it is outside of their control.

Yes, what Neil said.
"Button Activated" showtime is not a property of DVD authoring implementation,
I rather was hoping to suggest that this parameter be implemented properly within player logic, here applied to a software player.
