Standalone with QPel support?
Hi
I've got a question! I bought a Kiss DP-1100. It supports many formats,as well Xvid. All of my movies are in Xvid and i used QPel (quarter pixel!). But this Player isn't able to play xvid files with quarter pixel. Now I've got a question: Can you name some standalone dvd-players which supoort xvid with Qpel? (i'm from germany, so i will need a german player!) Greez BTR |

All players fitted with MediaTek's MT1389xx range of chip-sets support Q-pel. As do players fitted with Zoran's Vaddis 776, 778, 886 and 888 range of chip-sets!
For more info look here. And here. Cheers

Which includes the Philips DVP-5140 and DVP-5960 which are much easier to find in the US.

Whether it be Xvid with Qpel or DivX with Qpel, it all conforms to the MPEG-4 ISO/IEE specification

That said, I'm not sure whether Sigma's EM8500 chip-set even supports Qpel...
