error on disk - ripping at a lower speed

I have a little error (probably a scratch) on the disk. I've tried DVD2SVCD (internal and vstrip) and smartripper. But the ripping gets stuck at the same point. But the disc plays normally. Is there a ripping program that rips at the lowest speed (where I can adjust the speed)?

You may wanna post a little bit more about the error messages you are getting.

I had a problem like this on a few dvds ( all cheapies: ie. non-hollywood ) - its sometimes not even scratched im afraid, i rip before i watch occasionally and its happened then ... all i can say is try DVD-Decryptor and failing that change dvd-roms if u can and use vStrip as well as dvd-decryptor with the new drive.
