What is it with the King of Pop and color correction questions?
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1635055
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1640659

Here's one possibility:
Code:
return MergeRGB(
\ ShowRed.Levels(0, 1.49, 255, 0, 255),
\ ShowGreen.Levels(0, 0.93, 255, 0, 255),
\ ShowBlue.Levels(0, 0.63, 255, 0, 255)
\ ).Levels(15, 1.13, 255, 0, 255)
I got these settings by fooling around with a Photoshop Levels adjustment layer, then copied the numbers to a script...
(I made more tweaks after making this composite screenshot)

the numbers will have to be adjusted for 16-235 video as opposed to a 0-255 JPEG image.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm doing different concerts for different friends, and I have to say that Michael's concerts are the worst ripped I have ever seen. I edited Queen concerts, Elvis concerts and many others. But to get a tape like I posted from the year '96 is absolutely horrfying.

This is all I could do:

Here's the video:

Corrected Version

If it were me, I'd do some additional filtering to get rid of the noise and levels variations. Also, the levels probably need to be shifted slightly.

Thanks for the take on the video. I got indeed rid of the noise/blocking.

Apparently there is a high-quality version of this show somewhere hidden in some collector's bedroom. I saw a few screens and the colors were the same. STILL, they don't seem to be right. Too much blue...

And most of his concert scenes are lighted with heavily colored spots and floods. Have to take that into account.
