Why in the guide for using DVD2AVI does it say to note the Delay?

Where do I compensate for this?
I am assuming that is the only reason to take note of it? The guide doesnt say what to do with it?
Thanks

Its used when you join video and audio track. Depends on your tools but in Virtual Dub its right next to audio interleave.
