Maestro Movie Menu Problem

I asked this question in the basic dvd authoring forum but have had no responses so I hope it's OK to ask it here!

I have a menu with a movie background but every time it loops there seems to be a flash as the subpicture appears as if there is a slight delay before the subpicture is displayed. Is there anyway to avoid this?

Thanks very much for any help.

Rob

check that the slider is all the way, might be a couple of frames right.

Thanks for the tip, I will look into it but I have a feeling it's something else! I have been watching results with hollywood+, will try other players.

Cheers

you might want to try using Button Over Video instead of a motion menu.

Is there some other option in Maestro apart from menus with movie backgrounds?

in a dvdmaestro title (ie VTS), you can create a subtitle that is 'Button Over Video', which is almost the same as creating a motion menu, just a little more advanced, and sometimes more controllable.

Having looked at a few commercial looping Movie menus they seem to have the same slight delay before the highlite appears each time, so I don't think I can do anything about it.

Thanks very much for the tips, I will certainly get into subtitles more.

When the disc is jumping from video stream to video stream, button functionality doesn't tend to work and the entire subpicture vanishes from the screen... I think that's what is happening here.

There's nothing you can do about it really.
