Hello bond,
You are right, Elecard XMuxer Pro is based on DirectShow technologies. The current version of this product uses Elecard MP4 Multiplexer version 0.3.17.51028.

I have similar problems. In one stream, version 2 detects the AC3 in transport and it plays OK in preview. But when I want to save the demuxed stream the GUI only allows me to specify MPA audio on output. I do that and then if I rename the saved stream to AC3 it plays.

With another transport stream, the video is not detected! This is pretty bad for a tool that bills itself as a professional muxer/demuxer.

Settings are not saved across invocations and I can't make DEC/HEX work at all.

All that I found in 10 minutes.

I also don't like this:

PID 189 ID 20

It should be:

Stream 189 PID 20

I'm very unhappy with this new version.

3MBytes is very small for a transport stream. Can I give you bigger ones via my FTP server?

Hi, neuron2,
If you wish to save the demuxed audio stream with .ac3 extension, you must to choose All files (*. *) in Save As dialog and to enter file name with extension necessary for you (for example audio.ac3).
It would be very good, if have laid out on FTP a file with which at you there were problems in our XMuxer Pro. For this purpose, please, contact the Elecard Technical Support Team: tsup@mainconcept.ru.

Best Regards
Konstantin.

Why default to MPA when the program knows the stream is AC3? The poor user does NOT know the stream type is AC3 because the program does not tell him (unless he has used DGIndex to find out). Should the poor user guess the correct file extension to use?

I will contact your support.

I do not think, that extension of a file is of great importance. In the following version we shall make exhibiting necessary extension according to type of an input stream. Thanks that help to improve our software product.

Best Regards
Konstantin.

"I do not think, that extension of a file essentially."

Thanks for the reply but it makes no sense in English. I've sent my issues to your support group as you suggested.

Type 6 descibes a private stream. It can be everything from audio to teletext. You have to further analyze the ES.

neuron2: You said, you have an urgent project and I am not aware of the details. But, if you need to remux .ts to .mpg, you can do so with tsconverter. It is free and aware of ac3 and hd mux rates. In case of any problem pm me.

Thanks, crypto. I found an alternate solution for my projects involving use of a proprietary tool made by one of our customers. Now I'm just torqued that we've dropped $130 down the drain and they won't even test the streams they ask for. I'll wait for a response and if there's nothing I'll conclude that Elecard doesn't care about its paying customers and I'll make a prominent anti-Elecard rant at my website. I don't take **** like this lightly.
