Converting OGM to AVI
I've done a few ogm encodes but i've never actually converted one before. I followed this guide on vcdhelp.com http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/89139.php and i got this error...
I was wondering if graphedit is the only way to convert to avi and if not how do i fix this prob i have?

Could you explain how to use it? I click the application but all i get is a command prompt and it disappears right away to fast to take a screen shot of it. This is what the OGMCutter_1.0a4.rar file contained...
Thanks for the help.

Well this link leads to the image(not sure why it doesn't show it as an img) of the dos i think i did it right. It created the avi file(video) and ogg file(audio).
I can open the video in vdub. But not sure where it is that i am supposed to open the ogg audio.

Sorry, I thought VDubMod could mux Ogg into an Avi (never did this before). Just a stupid question: why do you want to convert it to Avi anyways?
Well, however, you could first convert your ogg-file to wave using t.ex. the diskwriter output plugin from winamp. This should be lossless. Then you could recompress it to mp3. But remember: transcoding is always lossy (t.ex you cannot get a better movie by converting Mpeg1 to XviD) and Mp3 has inferior quality compared to Ogg. Best regards, JimiK |

In the end i want to make these into svcds. I don't think there is away without going to avi first. But if i can convert ogg -> wav then thats what i need. But i don't care if i lose quality in sound.

Besweet can also convert ogg > wav
Then you can use besweet again to make your MP2 file for you SVCD. Or you can use it to make an AC3 or whatever else you want. I'm glad you learned how to use dos And FYI you can't use ogg vorbis audio files in AVI container. That's why the OGM container was created. |

Well i couldn't find t.ex or figure out the error i was getting with besweet so i did a search on download.com for ogg to wav and found this... http://www.ogg-converter.com/oggsetup.exe. It converts ogg-> wav,mp3,wma. Or vice versa. Pretty simple to use program but only bad thing its and evaluation program and only works for 10 conversions .
