Ieee1394

Which software packages allow capturing from an IEEE1394 port. I know about Premiere and Mediastudio, but these are too big.

Mine was bundled with MGI VideoWave SE. I like the software.

If all you want to do is capture the DV stream, then you may be interested in EditStudio, which comes with a *free* capture program. (Don't have the link here, search with Google.)

For compactness... use DVCAP. Don't have a link, but google search for dvcap.zip

Thanks

I downloaded Editstudio and DVCap and will try them out. However I'm first gonna upgrade my PC to 1.7 Ghz, as my present 450 MHz is critical when capturing.
