That is really bizarre.

I've figured out what's wrong but I don't know what's causing it.

For some reason it's displaying the mask over the top of the icon instead of the other way around (see attached - most obvious on the chain icon).

Any ideas?

Yeah, strange. Maybe the best option would be to convert those icons to PNG? I'll have a look at it at home.

Yeah I'd already considered that but Blutach wanted to replace the contents window icons with the custom ones and I wasn't sure if you could do that with PNGs.

After a lot of tests I think I've found the problem though.

It seems to be a bug in IE 6 which most of our machines in work are still running.

I'll have it upgraded and see if that cures it.

Glad to know it's not a problem with the help file itself

I modified the color table in the icons' bitmaps - I moved the black color (0x000000) to the first position in the color table. I came up with this idea when I noticed, that all the other icons, although not using black pixels, had the black color on the first position in the color table. A bit of hexeditor work

OK, the manual has been updated with the icons from M-Knox's New_menu2 files.

Please re-download the zip from the link in post 1 and test (including the icon's on PgcEdit's Menu's subsidiary pages).

If all is well, this will be bundled in version 9.2

Regards

It's the manual that is dated January 2009, not necessarily the program

Can't see manual file

I can't see manual file.

Is there anything wrong in my method ?

I click first "HELP", and next click "Documentation". The there is opened chm file, but there is shown 'The navigation to the Web page was canceled' (actually in Japanese).

I moved "PgcEdit_Manual.chm" to "doc" folder from PgcEdit installation folder, but it was not resolved.

I put the files of the HTML version in "doc" folder in the PgcEdit installation folder, but it was not resolved.

Regards.

@ jinjin_jp,

The CHM file should be placed in the same directory as the PgcEdit.exe file.

This is where PgcEdit checks for the help file.

Thanks for the res.

At first, the CHM file is placed in the same directory as the PgcEdit.exe file.
I moved it, because I can't it see and foud the explanation like below.

How about ?
Quote:
The compiled HTML documentation file for Windows (PgcEdit_Manual.chm) is included in the PgcEdit_v9.2_winexe.zip file, but not in the Linux archive. You can also download it separately here or here. To install it, create a directory "doc" in your PgcEdit installation folder, and copy the CHM file in that directory. This way, PgcEdit will be able to access it from its Help menu.
in http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=145037

The documentation files should be placed within a "doc" folder in the PgcEdit installation folder. This way, you will be able to launch the documentation from PgcEdit's Help -> Documentation menu.
Under Windows, if a file called PgcEdit_Manual.chm is found in the doc folder, it is used.
in PgcEdit's homepage.

Regards.
