Well now they can play VC-1. Playstation3 is a funny piece of hardware.
What do you mean with this sentence? That you found the hack how to play VC-1 video in m2ts container from XMB or when streaming?

I decided to try to add this .LID.srt option... lid = language id.

Have in mind that not all languages are being displayed. For example, I had no success on making my player show "Bulgarian" for subtitles, even it is in Blu_ray setup in PS3.
I'm trying to add subtitles with MKVToolnix and tag them, then pass it trough multiAVCHD.

I did this already.

Nero Showtime will show Language IDs properly, but Playstation will show just "Other". It shows "English" only with the "eng" tagged subtitles in MKV.

I tried with French (fre), English (eng), Bulgarian (bul) and only English ones are shown as such.

Playlist files and mts files seems ok, but it doesn't show. I'll do some tests later.

p.s. No need to go thru multiAVCHD. Try tsMuxer and you will see non 'eng'-tagged subs will show as "Other".

Today I was playing with some m2ts files with 10 subtitles and they showed language IDs. I think subtitles need to be PGS, not UTF8 (srt). Let me test some more.

Hi Dean,

Now I can stop sending you requests on your personal mail box.
I'm the French guy who's tried so many times burning multiBR with custom menus and it is true that I'm looking forward to seing feature completed since I tried to create backgrounds equal to the occasion.

As you asked me compilation without using the custom menu option still works great.

Good luck and don't die before you get the work done.

A little bit more about this here.

Then you can remux the audio into the mkv (or add it to tsMuxer, depending on what you're trying to do).

Peas.

Dude you're the fucking man! I was trying to catch up on season 3 of Dexter and out of the first four eps, three of these I get an error in tsMuxer ("Some tracks not recognized, ...") and multiAVCHD just skips over them. At the very best I got video and no sound. That works like a charm At first I thought the process was just a big headache, but it's just a bit tedious. Perfect timing posting that, thanks. Great info for this thread.

Ultimately I would like to fix the original mkv, but I guess that's for another time and another thread.

Thought about this too .... but there's apparently no way to specify a delay for an audio track in an mkv file ... so I guess you need to create a new ac3 audio track with "blank" as a start for the right timing ..... didn't go further this way. And right ... maybe in another thread

Peas.

Yes, but not directly. If you pass such file thru multiAVCHD you'll be able to watch it via XMB-> usb/disc -> AVCHD

Is that bug?

Hi Dean,

sorry if bothering you again, but for the last few builds, last tested 271, multiAVCHD ignores files (CLPI, M2TS and MPLS transfer after tsMuxering), which used to be acceptable and processed fine. Please find attached log file.

IMHO it would be very nice if already Media folder could reject (with explanaition) not usable NC files.

I think I found what could be wrong.

The problem could manifest itself if a slower computer is used to run multiAVCHD.exe

Can you update to build 274 and try again with these two files?

Hi Dean,

thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I think, the problem was in badly split test sample. tsMuxer finished with the error unnoticed by multiAVCHD log: "Matroska parser: read error at pos 665553987". Nevertheless tsMuxer produced the m2ts file but not the clpi and mpls.

Would be possible to catch tsMuxer`s error messages and quote them in your log?

tsMuxer meta file for problematic file:
MUXOPT --no-pcr-on-video-pid --new-audio-pes --vbr --vbv-len=500
V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC, "F:\Video\BD5\NSt.mkv", insertSEI, contSPS, track=1, lang=und
A_AC3, "F:\Video\BD5\NSt.mkv", track=2, lang=rus
A_AC3, "F:\Video\BD5\NSt.mkv", track=3, lang=eng

No, I can't get the output of tsmuxer

I did some changes and multiAVCHD should say something in the log.

I should ask a moderator to get involved with your posts.

No, still no arrow when using custom menu. I said that I'm working on it.

nope! It is very same log also with build 274.

Could you maybe test the presence of expected tsMuxer output files and if not there, trigger the error in the log file and abort the further execution ?

Please try again... There should be something colored in RED.

Are there any clpi/mpls files inside the temp folder?
