hi, please can someone with a 4k TV switch to 1080p 60hz and see if they can select full 4:4:4 FULL RGB please, dropping back to an old driver fixes this for me so cant just be me surely.
i've tried a full driver wipe with DDU no joy. EDIT, I think this driver doesn't like my LG OLED, it works fine with my 4k samsung N8000, well cheesed off.

Thanks DMU.
If I could get 3d to work with KODI DS i wouldnt mind but when my desktop and kodi gui is in 4k 3D just wont trigger at all. If I put KODI DS is 1080p it works but as gui is now in ybcr its all washed out and nasty, plus when I come out of KODI is more than often doesnt drop back to 4k so i'm forever swithing back to 4k, just a total nightmare. 3d plays fine in MPC from a 4k desktop so that bug is just with KODI DS which again will never get fixed unfortunately, i cant win, there is something wrong with every F**king driver, its infuriating.

Problem with the GForce v445.75
When running HDR videos, it switches back to SDR when UI of the player is activated. Sometimes, it can no longer switch back to the right dynamic range

Confirmed. Seems to be a bug in the latest Nvidia drivers.

The issue is with the bit depth. Anything higher than 8-bit causes the display to drop out of HDR when a UI is triggered.

Oh that's going to irritate the hell out of me. I've not watched a movie since I upgraded to the latest driver and I've got the Star Wars UHD collection coming tomorrow (I hope). Guess I'll be rolling back cause um NO.

Meh no thanks. I reverted the driver. I've been gaming on the new laptop anyway so I don't (currently) need the latest and greatest driver. I'm assuming at some point nVidia will fix it in an upcoming release. Not that my movies shipped on time anyway. Tracking numbers with no actual shipment should be illegal. LOL

Just found this!
Hi all,
I just found this thread... I'm having issues with my NVIDIA GTX 1080 and JVC PJ. I use MADVR and JRIVER. What are the best drivers to use? I do like to game, but it might be a while before I get the chance to game anyway... Any drivers kind of recent that would allow me to use 444:12bit? I have a ton of UHD disks.... but can't get HDR working nicely. Color space shows BT.709 (Best Guess) in MADVR display... Very frustrating. I just updated to 445.75, then literally found this list/post. |

Hello.
I'm using Win 10 x64 1909 (18363.752) with nVidia 1660 (442.74) connected on a UHD TV using HDMI 2.0. When native 4K@60Hz resolution/ refresh rate is selected along with HDR from Windows settings, I get only 8bit option for color depth. My other options selected are RGB for color format and Full RGB. The diagnostics confirm the settings reporting "8bit with dithering" If I turn HDR off from Windows settings, I get 8bit & 12bit color depth options. a) Where is 10bit option, why is missing and I get 12bit with HDR off ? b) How can I get 10bit using 4K@60Hz with HDR on ? I mean using 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 options, because I think 4:4:4 is impossible using HDMI 2.0

for some reason nvidia doesn't like 10 bit as a format it does it but if 12 is possible it is doing 12.
you talk about full range RGB and that you know you need 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 to get 10 or 12 bit at 60 which is YCbCr. just stick to 8 bit RGB it's "better" anyway. |
