IfoEdit Chapters Problem

I have 21 VOB files that I ripped from various song DVDs using SmartRipper (Movie mode). After doing "Create IFOs" and "Get VTS SECTORS", when I play it in the PowerDVD, it only plays first 5 chapters. But if I "Create IFOs" and "Get VTS SECTORS" for only 9 chapters then PowerDVD plays all chapters. Matter of fact anything over 9 chapters/VOBs causes problems. What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks for any help.

are ur vob files in 1gig. u can do this by loading up the created ifo in ifoedit and do vob extras. select strip audio so that ifoedit can resize the vob files.

then try it. the movie will go in a wierd order and sometimes repeat. to fix this take the 1gig vob files created and create new ifo files for them.

then it will work straight.

hope this helps.

The VOB files are well under 1 Gig each. They are like 200 Meg, 182 Meg, etc. They have NTSC video with Ac3 audio. Also, when I do "Create IFOs" using the vts_01_1.vob file, IfoEdit reads all the VOBs and creates IFO files with each VOB file becoming a chapter. When I try to load the VIDEO_TS.IFO file in Flask, Flask gives an error. When I load VTS_01_0.IFO file in Flask, Flask parses the file just fine.

I load the IFO in Flask just to see if it can parse the IFO correctly. That's all. I am not trying to transcode or anything.

Derrow please read

This worked. How stupid of me. I was trying to use 21 VOB files for one title where each VOB file is a chapter like; vts_01_1.vob, .. vts_01_21.vob. According to DVD structure definition, a title can't have more than 9 vts_*.vob files. Each vts_*.vob file however can have 99 chapters.

But IfoEdit (not trying to blame IfoEdit) didn't complain or anything, it read all 21 VOB files and created IFO files with 21 chapters. I think IfoEdit should check the VOB file name and if it violates vts_xx_y.vob format, should flag an error.
Just a suggestion.

Thanks.

Ha, that's funny! I didn't know IfoEdit would do that.
You're right, it's a good suggestion.
I'll try to fix it up.

Thanks Derrow. IfoEdit is a lifesaver. It's an excellent freeware with new functionality being added every day.

Yeah everything worked after I merged the VOB files into 5 VOB files.
Thanks.
