Hi Buzzqw

The xvid encoding speed of the beta2 is o.k. now, thanks for fixing it.

The safe-deinterlace funktion works like charme

There is still a problem when using AVI-XviD as default setting: After starting the program the settings are o.k. After loading a video-file the audio bitrate slider jumps back to 112, no matter what the user's choosen before. I described it before under http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...73#post1105473
Not a big thing but it would be comfortable if AutoMKV would remember these settings.

No 5.1 anymore depresses me

In that case I will continue to use AutoMKV .95 for my movies, and perhaps ,96 for my anime DVDs.

@Crono141
sorry pal, but till Microsoft will not release a software capable of full 5.1 encoding, i will not support any problematic encoder

Hey guys,

Just checking in.

Once again, big thanks to BHH for this great software.

By the way, has anyone found ideal settings yet for .M2TS down-conversion to 720p x264/MKV? I've been experimenting with files from my videocam but I haven't found the right settings yet.

you mean that encoding is broken .. or it's a quality issue ?

i may suggest to post a unprocessed sample.. just to check any problem (also.. a log could help.. and even a image of the "quality issue)

Found a problem with the Suspend functionality - it assumes that windows is installed in C:\Windows drive and directory whereas in my case Windows is E: drive so I get the following error message when it attempts to suspend.
Code:
Error loading c:\windows\system32\PowrProf.dll
The specified module could not be found.
Encoding to Nero AAC 6 channel failed on a TV Series I batched last night, but suspect it's more likely a problem with the source.
EDIT: Strange the sources are encoding fine now whether using delayaudio or delaycut.

Does this actually mean the file doesn't need to be renamed any more, as I understood SSE2 was already implemented (via renaming to neroAacEnc.exe)? That's what I'd been doing anyway.

if you put the neroaacenc_sse2.exe in \exe\besweet folder it will be silently renamed to neroaacenc.exe ...

thanks for the suspend!

I thought I remembered you posting somewhere about an application that a source AC3 file could be run through to check if there's a problem with the source file, but I can't find the post now. Am I dreaming, or can you point me to the app?

in \exe\dgindex folder launch delaycut.exe and us it for analysis

you can force automkv to use it by changing the Handle Delay in advanced settings

Hey all,

I'm having the worst time with WMV encoding! I want to put my large library of TV shows on DVD into a format that compresses easily, quickly, and streams to my Xbox. WVC1 seems to be the best choice, so I turn to trusty old AutoMKV. It errors out and says the muxed size was -1 bytes. Here's the funny thing: if I run the encoding command line option into a command prompt, it errors out. If I change the very end of the encoding string, the audio option, from 16 to 24, it encodes fine on the command prompt! I don't have a log, I'll do an encode to get one if you need an example.

Here is the wmv log if I open a command prompt and run the csript command from AutoMKV log:
Code:

Prepare to encode failed with error -1072886856 The input media format is invalid.
Now, I if I change the encoding line from this:
Code:
cscript.exe "C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Desktop\AutoMKV095_NORIP\exe\encoder\WMCmd.vbs" -input "E:\Movies\TV Shows\MacGyver\Season 1 Disc 1\temp\movie.avs" -output "E:\Movies\TV Shows\MacGyver\Season 1 Disc 1\temp\movie.wmv" -v_codec WMV9 -v_mode 3 -v_bitrate 1778253 -s_config "E:\Movies\TV Shows\MacGyver\Season 1 Disc 1\temp\wmv_crb" -v_preset good -v_buffer 10000 -a_input "E:\Movies\TV Shows\MacGyver\Season 1 Disc 1\temp\audio.wav" -a_codec WMAPRO -a_mode 1 -title "Season 1 Disc 1" -log wmv.log -year 2008 -copyright "Done with AutoMKV! 0.95c" -a_setting 192_48_2_16
To this (notice the very end, a_setting):
Code:
cscript.exe "C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen\Desktop\AutoMKV095_NORIP\exe\encoder\WMCmd.vbs" -input "E:\Movies\TV Shows\MacGyver\Season 1 Disc 1\temp\movie.avs" -output "E:\Movies\TV Shows\MacGyver\Season 1 Disc 1\temp\movie.wmv" -v_codec WMV9 -v_mode 3 -v_bitrate 1778253 -s_config "E:\Movies\TV Shows\MacGyver\Season 1 Disc 1\temp\wmv_crb" -v_preset good -v_buffer 10000 -a_input "E:\Movies\TV Shows\MacGyver\Season 1 Disc 1\temp\audio.wav" -a_codec WMAPRO -a_mode 1 -title "Season 1 Disc 1" -log wmv.log -year 2008 -copyright "Done with AutoMKV! 0.95c" -a_setting 192_48_2_24
