4 cpu's > MEGUI very slow
hello
I order VPS with 4 cpu's (8ghz total) with 2GB RAM And windows server 32 bit , megui encode very slow very very slow , i am using (HQ Fast profile) Do i have to request windows 64 bit version ? is that will help ? thanks |

No, it won't. The physical or virtual server(s) hosting your VPS also host other VPSs. Since you're sharing resources, the hosting company has probably set up hard CPU limits for all VPS instances. Ask them about it... or try running a CPU benchmark program to get an idea of your real available CPU horsepower.

also, megui doesnt do ANY encoding. it's x264, xvid or snow that may run slow... MeGUI is a graphical user interface (only) for commandline encoders.
