Just wanted to thank you for creating a wonderful GUI for x264. You seem to be standing right on that fine line of easy-to-use and still being a very powerful program in the hands of an experienced user, so huge congratulations to you. If you've got any sort of Paypal donation system set up, please let me (and others, I'm sure) know. I'd love to give you some money for all your hard work.
One suggestion to make, if I may. When selecting an MPEG-2 transport stream (.mpv) as the video source, and then selecting the audio stream in the pop-up boxes that appear after, the Audio Track 1 selection always seems to default to 'None'. This is easily corrected by selecting the chosen audio source from the drop-down box, but it might be handy to have it automatically select it. Anyways, thanks again! Very much thanks for your GREAT job! One more little problem(probably with "code page"): when output file name is e.g. "Co ludzie powiedzą" ("Keeping Up Appearances" in english), I get finally file(after muxing) "Co ludzie powiedzA..." Last edited by vOjToL; 23rd December 2006 at 10:33. |

Hi buzzqw,
Is there any chance of getting the statically linked versions of Removegrain.dll and Repair.dll for the stable package instead of the dynamically versions. when i was using the dynamically linked versions from the 0.63 package, the compression test onward was failing because the avs script couldn't import removegrain.dll and repair.dll. i manually changed the dll's to statically linked versions and the error stopped. also is there any chance for some simple error checking as Automkv goes through the conversion process. e.g. when you get to the conversion of the audio and the resulting audio file equals 0 give a error or when you do the compression test and the resulting filesize = 0 etc. |

BTW do you know what other library is needed to get the dynamic removegrain.dll and repair.dll to work? I've had a look at the removegrain website and it says it that the dynamic versions need a library but fails to say what it is. |

the statically compiled are RemoveGrainS.dll and RepairS.dll (from removegrain pre 1.0 package http://www.64k.it/andres/data/avisyn...oveGrain10.rar )
BHH P.S try this build with your failing audio... www.64k.it/andres/data/a/AutoMKV063f.exe

This buid -0.63f(removed link,454kB) crash always after audio encoding, the new "f"(421kB) works good. There is not a big problem for me to using only latina letters in files names, I've been waiting for unicode build
Edit: After succesfull queue encoding, a window of program appears again, and then I choose video file for next encoding, the window for audio file not appears, nothing happens, I can't open audio file, until I restart the application Last edited by vOjToL; 23rd December 2006 at 19:35. Thanks for a great tool!
One question: I just want good quality , and I don't care how big the output is. What profile and output size should I use? Two suggestions: first, an option in the Disk Settings list for "Don't Care About Size". Second, could you make the window border not resizable? If you size it bigger, all you get is more empty space, and if you size it smaller, you just hide controls, so Fixed Dialog is a better border style choice, I think. Thanks again for your excellent program. |

Hi,
Great GUI, I'll make a small contribution when my Xmas money gets paid into my account. If I chose .avs input with 5.1 AC3 audio as 1st audio and no second audio, and set the audio to Lame stereo 128, the audio isn't encoded, it just stays like this: http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/1...ncodescly7.png until I close the window. Log: Code:

@Tailschao the audio is being normalized... is normal that "seems stopped"... try with a shorter sample , you will see what i mean about donate button: is just missing image or the button ? @ALL update www.64k.it/andres/data/a/AutoMKV063g.exe ADDED: "Don't care about size" in size list, selecting this preset the profile (xvid or x264) will switch to quality encoding (suggestion by ottar) FIXED: using queue more time without restarting automkv (thanks to vOjToL) FIXED: border in no more resizable (thanks to ottar) BHH

Yes, it's missing: http://www.mm.pl/~vojtol/automkv/automkv.jpg but the button is working
When input audio is mp3 mono, output is mono too, even preset is: lame, stereo. I know, mono to stereo it's a not big difference, dimension of result file is the same...but for standalone player is the difference, sound playing only for central speaker, not left&right. I have a movie that I was encoding using the CQ Xvid profile. The audio was way out of sync (by about a minute). I tried a second movie and had the same problem. These are both movies that encoded properly in 62c. I then tried the first movie in CQ x264 and the audio was in sync.
What do you want me to look at? |

What playback method did you use to determine this... A software or hardware media player
