This is quite tough. I'm afraid even if I get permission from Roshal then I still need much more freedom for AutoGK package...

How about I only support external subs if rar.exe is in the path?

version 0.69 beta is up

I removed new VDubMod from it. But you have to reinstall version 0.5 and then new update to get everything working again. Lets hope all the problems will be gone.

I don't see real need in that. sub indexes are usually start with 0x2x and therefor I only supported those ones. if they continue with 0x3x it's becoming tricky...

So is there a workaround?
What can anyone with such a DVD do? (Besides using Gordian Knot )

if you post your stream info file I'll try to fix that (even if I don't support more than 16 subs, then I obviously don't want it to crash...)

Wait until config file will be implemented, then you will able to specify custom lame parameters

No. I don't use it - is there a real benefit from it? I tried and couldn't see any difference.

AutoGK displays video info as:

Video info: NTSC - 352x480 - 16:9 Anamorphic - 29.997fps - 2:38:40.467

The original is 704x480.

Wait a minute - version 0.68 can't produce that error: GkItFast4U.exe should not be present anymore. Problem was indeed at some point in the past, but crash should not occur with current version.

I do not know if this is what you are looking for, but there are a ton of freeware rar, and unrarring programs here

Look Here len0x!

7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio. The program supports 7z, ZIP, RAR, CAB, GZIP, BZIP2, and TAR formats. Compression ratio in the new 7z format is 30-50% better than ratio in ZIP format. It also compresses to ZIP 2-10% better than PKZip and WinZip. It has an additional powerful command line version and FAR Manager support.

about rar-ing

rar is the only format supported by vobsub. so I need freeware compression (all of the them only decompress rar) software which has command line version. I don't think it exists since rar is propriatory format...

P.S. checking 7-zip now

the only file you'll need is rar.exe (or winrar.exe) to run it from command line, maybe you can get his premission to distribute it in autogk pakage if you'll add a link to the site or add the license or something.. and if not, you may add an option to set the rar.exe/winrar.exe location, default should be:
"C:\Program Files\WinRAR\WinRAR.exe"
and if not found then it won't be compressed... it will work this way as well ;0)

note: rar.exe / winrar.exe are the same, but winrar is with windows gui so you might prefer rar.exe if you want to save up some space from the package.

usage: rar/winrar a -m5 file.rar file1 file2 ...

just a quote concerning CM (from a nice tut. within the xvid FAQ)

Quote:
Then there is chroma motion. It is a speed/quality option. Use chroma (color) information to assist with motion detection - usual MPEG-1/2/4 encoding just uses luminance information for searching the motion. It is a sort of motion search precision 7. Chroma motion will slow down encoding by 10% (from Sill: I don't see this difference), but it gives you higher quality and it is pretty effective against blocks. It is highly recommended (from Sill: measure for yourself if it its highly recommended)to use chroma motion for more effective motion detection!

about vdubmod problems

Can those having problems (crashes) of vdubmod during version 0.66-68 test the following and report back, please:

- if current version with old VDubMod (from 0.5 installer) is working ok
- if latest CVS version of VDubMod ( http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=177123 ) is working ok as well.

thanks.

Access violation at address 00404446 in module 'AutoGK.exe'. Read of address FFFFFFF9.
I was just to lazy to write it so I copied the old post.
SORRY
I tried every version back to 0.5 and its the same...
I 'll post the stream info as soon as I can (not at home now)...

ok, good. Coz I tried recreating the problem myself with more than 16 subs streams and couldn't get any errors. There must be something else about that file...
