OK so I have a problem I am hoping you can help with.

This is not the first time this has happened so that is why I have come to ask about it.

I have an MKV file which is approx 6GB in size, inside the MKV with MultiAVCHD it shows as having 2 audio files(ac3 and DTS), and SUBS. after using the properties window to remove both the AC3 and the SUBS I then use the transcode button as default settings to adjust to compliant size. I click ok and then use the fit to all button to make the file size for DVD 5 (standard dvd).

the file converts fine and everything plays and looks as it should on the PC. However when I come to use IMGburn to burn the finished AVCHD it reports that it is too big (aprrox 100MB) and cannot be burned.

1. Why does this happen?

2. What can be done about it?

3. I always thought that DVD's could be overburned and that IMGburn has that feature, although I have tried to burn anyway and it always fails at the end resulting in a non usable disk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It was given to me by as friedn.

And before you question the file itself, I have played it back fine on pc and even the output m2ts from the avchd runs fine on pc, the only problem is for some reason the FIT TO ALL didnt work and its the second time it has happened, and admitedly with files larger than the 4.7gb norm.

Any ideas?

That's a violation of our forum rules, so we cannot help you with that.

You earlier described the stream like this:

Quote:

That is NOT a wedding video. You are welcome to post a fragment of this M2TS to show that it is a wedding video, of course with the two tracks and subtitles. Followup to discuss the forum rules and/or moderation decisions go to PM, however. Do not continue that discussion here, per forum rules 3 and 17.

You also have an earlier post that you deleted that demonstrates that you are downloading copyrighted materials illegitimately. Now that you've had multiple warnings, immediate strikes will follow any repeated violation.

It's very simple, you cannot discuss this illegitimately obtained material here.

Some of them do record the date/time and TC as subtitles. DTS is not allowed by AVCHD specs.

Do any camcorders generate MKV files? I know of H264 and MPEG2 streams in various formats, sometimes in AVI or Quicktime or M2T/M2TS/TS but I don't recall any in MKV containers.

Should anyone has the nerve to download 170MB from rapidshare (sorry), here is what a base XMB looks like with 11 (really cool) titles menu with

* motion background
* motion active thumbnail, and
* background music

Playstation3 AVCHD (USB/SDHC/MS)

Blu-ray / AVCHD for DVD/BD-R/RE

Although chapter pages are present, they are not displayed when you click 'chapters' - you can see a preview by playing 8***1 - 8***2.m2ts files.

Dean

p.s. BG audio is a 14 seconds clip, courtesy of Infected Mushrooms/Doors/Riders Of The Storm.

Dean,

I downloaded your file and burned it to BD-RE. My JVC XV-BP1 recognized it as AVCHD disk. Looks cool. Couple things though.

When I navigate to the left to highlight PLAY button I don't see that blue square, it is in overscan area. I think it would be better if you put all those buttons in vertical direction:

PLAY
CHAPTERS
TITLES
SET UP

Also, footer is in overscan area. I can barely see top edges of those letters.

But overall it looks great!

@kabanero
Your setup is faulty...thatīs why you have overscan.
With Blu-Ray/AVCHD @ FullHD there is no such thing like Overscan!!!
Switch your TV to "SCAN" mode not 16:9 then youīll be able to see the whole content of the AVCHD (picture).

@Dean
Well what can I tell you. Plays fine so long.
Any option called the Menu is replayed.

Do I press PLAY the Pioneer goes to hell
Only thing that help here.....pull the plug

The Samsung by the way survives.....after a few "scratches" it plays the menu again. Everything is fine.

Pioneer BDP-LX52 (V3.41)
Samsung BD-P2500 (V2.5)

==============================================
Note of general concern:
Something must have changed again within the last builds of x264. My last encodes have gone unconform with blu-ray/avchd standart. I canīt play them on my Pioneer!!!
Changing the parameters (command line) for x264 gets me back to playable stuff.
With "Simple x264 Launcher" the following worked instandly: using preset fast with the addition of "--level 4.1 --nf --direct auto --vbv-bufsize 16000 --vbv-maxrate 16000 --subme 5 --no-mbtree --trellis 0 --me umh --nal-hrd --sar 1:1"
Of course this is just a sugguestion.

Basically I wanted to warn you, that you should check your results before deleting the sources, just like me here

Sorry Roger, but my LCD HDTV has overscan and there is no way I can change that.

You can't have them placed vertically, because UP/DOWN scroll the title list. About the overscan - there are settings in multiAVCHD which let you move all (footer/header and title list) to a place where they won't be affected by the overscan.

Hi dean, Iam using your programm for about 3 months now, its working perfectly after a fresh windows 7 install, before that i had problems making thumbnails,

I have about 10 movies on my external harddrive for the ps3, but i want to add the full series of Lost, season 1 to 5, but when i add them i hae alot of titles to cycle through, is there any way to make a submenu, so i can have only 1 "Lost" title in my main menu?

Many thnx.

Hello there,
First of all, I want to say thank you deank for this great program! I'm very glad for the new BD reauthoring part, but - maybe I do something wrong - there is a problem. When remuxing is done, the new disc starts flawlessly on TotalMedia Theater, selecting audio, subtitle is okay, but chapters are not. I noticed this on every remuxed BDs. I use the correct mpls file and I don't modife that, so what could be the problem? Thanks for help!
