BackupHDDVD-GUI (Java)----I love it- who not?

Hi there, Folks.
Well I am asking myself if there are many of you guys using Olegs BackupHDDVD-GUI (Java Vers.) I successfully used the 1.3 version on every movie I got so far.
Here's a small list:
- KingKong EUR
- Serenity EUR
- 12Monkeys
- Fear & Loathing
- Batman Begins
- Pitch Black
- Chronicles of Riddick
- Babel
- Spartacus
- The Mummy
- Aeon Flux
- Superman Returns
- Lucky #Slevin
- Miami Vide
- Vendetta
- Red Dragon
- Syriana EUR
- Harry Potter IV
- Troja EUR
- Constantine EUR
(Downfall & Running Scared do not have AACS protection, just copy them to the HDD and run)

It worked like a charm, including the menue.
A few keys wasn't found online, so I got them myself w/ WinDVD8 and the Keyfinder GUI.

All in all I have to say that the BackupHDDVD Gui is an excellent piece of work and I higly recommend it!

Try it for yourself if you didn't and all the probs in ripping are gone.

Thank you again to Olegg and much fun in watching the Hds, it's such a cool thing when you're in possession of a Full HD LCD!!! (By the way: I recommend my Amoi LCD 42" w/ 1080p Full HD. It's cheap (1450Euro) and kicks ass with my PC)

Best regards,
Cap

And is that playback at 1080p? I only get downscaled junk from PowerDVD 7.1. Only 6.5 plays at 1080p but it can't handle a lot of titles (T3 ripped = nogo, with AnyDVD HD and selecting a title manually you can play it, Poseidon is a nogo with and without AnyDVD HD and also ripped with BackupHDDVD, and it can't seem to handly any Universal EU title I have: the Fast & Furious trilogy and Doom).

Come to think of it, yes PowerDVD plays ripped discs just fine.. but at the same resolution you'd get with ICT: 960x540 .. and I paid for 1920x1080. While PowerDVD doesn't show the actual resolution, the window size can easily be measured, and WinDVD 8 is as honest as to tell you it's downscaling.. in its info window, the resolution is always way below what it should be.. especially when it's then being upscaled again to whatever resolution you might have (I have 2560x1600) - you lose a considerable part of the bonus HD DVD is supposed to deliver.

@Doom9: how did you determine that you had downscaling with PowerDVD ? just by looking at the image ? Is there an empirical way of determining if there are some downsampling going on ?
