HTTP Cookies support
Hello,
Are HTTP Cookies supported by the LAV filters? It appears they are not supported in my first test. Akamai sends Set-Cookie with a token in response to a request for a m3u8. If the next request does not have a cookie it is rejected by Akamai as a security measure. Thanks! |

Microsoft added once again VP9 10bit (profile 2) support in DXVA specification.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=49188 Does Pascal or any other GPU support VP9 10bit HW acceleration ?

while preferring transform filters is enough for MPC-HC to use them it is not enough for source filters. while MPC-BE is using the preferred filters even the source filter "correctly". i guess it is time to ask in the MPC-HC thread. |

Mpc-hc using prefer option pick up external filter perfectly without the need to disable internal, at least on my end. So does most if not all direct show video player, like pot player etc.

@NEV Are there any "telemetry codes" in the nightly / release ?
P.S. More info at "Visual Studio 2015 Secretly Inserts Telemetry Code into C++ Binaries"

Hello!
I really want to be able to use bitstream for DTS and DD But if there is a DTS-MA or TrueHD track those should be preferred and decoded! Is this possible?

Then open LAV Splitter settings and make sure "Prefer Audio Stream with the Highest Quality" is checked. |

Pascal doesn't support it with the current drivers.
If the hardware can do it ... only NVIDIA knows.

Since LAVFilters-0.68.1-9 I'm getting the wrong fps reported to MadVR (= displaymode switching doesn't work correctly)
In Versions LAVFilters-0.68.1-4 and before I get the correct fps: LAVFilters-0.68.1-9 and higher I get: Is this a known issue or a new setting that I'm overlooking? Last edited by Prinz; 16th June 2016 at 22:56. Reason: Fix typo |

This is a bug, however it should be noted that FPS information is generally not very reliable and absolutely relying on it will fail eventually.

Hi nevcairiel, it is generally accepted that ASF container seeking doesn't work too well with lavfilter's splitter. I have recently noticed that another ffmpeg-based player, mpv seems to handle ASF container seeking without glitch. Is the issue therefore at lavfilters level i/o ffmpeg? If so, any plans to have a go at fixing this? Cheers.

I'd like to point at the options of MPC-HC: There used to be an option (not sure if it is currently still present, don't have it right here) to choose between two different ASF/WMV splitters. One seeks faster, but can't seek at all when the file is incomplete (e.g. doesn't contain a keyframe index). So I believe this container format is a bit "brittle", either trust it completely or not at all.

Hi nevcairiel
Feature request: When I open a BDMV folder via right click -> play in MPC-HC, then play the longest movie automatically (normally is this the main movie). But I have some Blurays where the longest movies are the "Extras" or "Specials". The "Extras or Specials" are not in full HD. Is it possible to check first the resolution and then the longest playlist? |

Some Matroska files trigger a crash due to this change:
http://git.1f0.de/gitweb?p=ffmpeg.gi...91f9fcc8deb89b To be more specific the TARGET_TRACK change. Crash happens in avutil. Don't have a small sample file available right now, but maybe you don't need it. |

hi, is there any plan to implement more codecs that supported by Media Foundation? Also I would like to know when you will implement HW fallback from DXVA2 Native to Copy-Back as I remember I read the discussion somewhere in this thread.
