What is "LAGS" format? Neither MPlayer nor VLC is able to play that video, Avidemux or VirtualDub won't open it either.

EDIT: Installed that "Lagarith" codec, so I can at least open it in VirtualDub. But all I see is a "gray" picture

aha,
i'd not thought of it as flicker with all the swirling.

deflick works pretty well,
ty

although i also tried other deflickers
and they were all far less effective

possibly any other suggestions,
maybe of a another luma equalizer to try

Wow. I had the same problem and I couldn't find a good solution... but deflick works like wonders and is very easy to tweak. Thanks!
