It seems that the audio is receiving the lang=en command but its not working. Video is not receiving it at all. I would assume it would use whatever is the default in the options. In my case English. Either way it was working before so I am not sure what happened.
Code:

MediaInfo shows it missing too.

I believe that a video stream would only need a language flag if it has language-dependent content (like the multi-angle trick on the "Shrek" DVD to show the cast rendered with translated texts).

How ironic i came here to report the audio language problem from the mp4 muxer. Of course im using the last MeGUI dev server with all updated packages.

I found out that the command line must have changed in last mp4box. The language tag has to be 3 digits now, so instead of
Code:
lang=en
, it must be
Code:
lang=eng
Works well when i try to do it from CLI manually with the MeGUI's MP4Box.exe Should be an easy fix for the dev.

Thanks by the way for this awesome tool.

There are different ISO-639 language codes, at least 2CC (639-1) and 3CC (639-2 and 639-3). If MP4Box "upgraded", then possibly for clarity and diversity.

Zathor are you still considering doing an x64 version of megui? I remember you saying way back that you might if and when support for x64 caught up (avisynth, dll's and such)

Stax did a recent try with Avisynth+ x64 here:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=172068

I still consider it myself, but it will be a lot of work to find working plugins and so on. And I do not want to abandon MeGUI x86 like Stax did with his tool. But then it will be too much work... so no clue when it will happen. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not in the next years. Depends an the dvelopment in the AviSynth x64 area (currently seems to be on hold again).

I did try that out, but prefer megui more, as for plugins

http://avisynth.nl/index.php/AviSynt...2B_x64_plugins

not sure how up to date that is but a good starting point.

When MeGUI x64 does appear I will test it

Ah nice find. Well anyways I hope this can be fixed. For the video track and audio track.

edit: Just noticed there was a megui update. And it seemed to fix the audio. But the video is still left blank. Shouldn't this use what language is set in the options? Or maybe add a pulldown menu for the video as well for languages.

Does a language tag for the video stream make sense at all, except for the case when you have multiple video streams with different content for each language? ... MeGUI does not support multiple parallel video streams.

That's not really the point. It was working at some point. Now its not. Also MKVMerge supports it. I see no reason why mp4 can't. I use it so yes there is a use for it for some.

The biggest problem with AviSynth+ x64 at this moment is you cannot use complex scripts like QTGMC. It's however possible to use QTGMC using VapourSynth x64 where it works greatly.

Another problem is DGDecode x64 isn't working correctly, it's not a big deal though since ffms2 x64 can handle NTSC fine and there is also DGDecNV x64.

Depending on situation I use both AviSynth+ x64 and VapourSynth x64.

To my knowledge it was never supported in MeGUI to set a language for the video track. There is no option for that in the muxer GUIs.

Hmm interesting. Well I have muxed stuff in the past with MeGUI mp4 muxer and it set the English language. Maybe it was already set on the file before muxing.

Either way can you add this option?

Hey guys.
Noob question.
Is there anyway to go back to vfw4x264 in the new MeGui version ? MeGui replaced with avs4x264mod.

Or should i go back to older MeGui version ?
Thanks!

I'm getting a weird error when opening MeGUI: it complains about a running MeGUI instance being detected. I certainly do not have another MeGUI running and the dialog also appears after a fresh reboot.

I also get the same error when trying to open "IV Play" (a MAME GUI).

I tried to watch what happens with Process Explorer but couldn't find any direct reason or hint where to start looking at. I've also uninstalled EMET and tried disabling the antivirus resident shield (AVG).

Does anyone have any tips?

Not sure why you want to do that, but it may be possible to simply switch the executables (vfw4x264 renamed to avs4x264mod of course). If this does not work because of changed command lines then you need to use an older MeGUI version.

MeGUI (same as IV-Play) are using Mutex to check if another instance of their programs are already running. It seems that your system has problems to detect those Mutex objects and therefore you get these messages.

Thanks, I'll try to dig up some information to fix the issue for good

The used call with all command line parameters is missing in your log.

Furthermore, there is apparently no AC3 audio stream, only raw PCM.
