Selur, I think that I did something wrong in selecting the m2ts file from the playlist. I'll trying again now. Will report if something happens.
One more thing, can't select the largest file in the Stream folder and then get the file list mate? that would be easy, because, in the playlist, I see similar files and like alot. So, mistakenly I selected the wrong file to import. That could've been the reason for the above problem.

Why should selecting a file result in a file list?
Blu-ray have extra Playlist files which contain informations regarding which files to playback in which order,...
If you select a single file Hybrid will only open this one file.
If you select the Blu-ray folder in Blu-ray mode Hybrid will show you a selection of all the playlists where you can choose which one you want.
If you select a single playlist file, Hybrid will open the files linked in that playlist, in the order mentioned in the playlist.

Like I said please post or pm me the output of the mencoder call,..

Still get that error mate. There are only two possible .mpsl files and this is the one with the right resolution of 1920x1080 and the audio file. But still, the video error comes.

Sure it's the same error? Im mean it did work when I looked at it with teamviewer,.. does it crash directly at the start of the x264 encoding path ? -> if you send me a debug output of the job that is failing, I will look at it,..

Selur, umm, I am encoding a movie in CRF 20, 10Bit and slow preset.
It's taking like 17hours for vid only. Umm, that possible.

Because, in 8Bit, very slow preset, the encoding was only 5 hours

Yes, 10bit is slower than 8bit encoding, but afaik you didn't use preset 'very slow', you just selected it, but did not apply it, so to be fair you should appy the medium preset.

used only "Slower" not the very slow. But this much of time? 5 vs 17 hours? is the quality worth it mate?

depends on what you are encoding,.. 10bit has no problems with banding like 8bit does + it provides better quality,.. -> it's your choice

crf and 2pass aim for different things.
Use crf if you want a specific 'quality level' (crf 16-22 is normally fine for most people; most stick with 18).
Use 2pass if you aim for a specific average bitrate or specific file size.
-> you can't really compare these two since they aim for different things
if crf&2pass use otherwise the same settings and the output size is the same, the quality will be the same,..

If size is not really a concern stick with crf 18.

Hybrid rev. 2012.05.20.1:

*fixed*
  • input: auto crop detection not working properly on transport stream containers
  • preview: audio got disabled after "Filter View" was triggered the 1st time
  • automation: rewrote a lot of code to handle the interactions of 'auto crop', 'pass-through subtitle', 'auto interlaced check'
  • input: stream selection didn't work properly for multiple video input files
  • input: better handling or blu-ray input and multi video input files
  • muxing: problem with mov muxing (on Mac OS X)
*added*
  • outputPath and temPath variables are now read from .ini if present
*changed*
  • deinterlace: auto deinterlacing will only change the deinterlaced if the content is detected as interlaced and the
  • deinterlacer is ment for IVTC or the content is telecine and the deinterlacer is ment for deinterlacing.
  • output: avi output is allowed again, as a workaround to the ffmpeg bug, I'm trying to avoid to mux raw MPEG-4 ASP to .avi; Warning: if you use Hybrid to multiplex raw MPEG-4 ASP video into an .avi file, the output container flags will be wrong.

I don't know which priority you are speaking of. Assuming you mean the process priority decoders and encoders run in: Hybrid automatically sets everything to the lowest priority (idle / nice -n 19) and does not offer an option to change this. (Mainly because I see no good reason why one would want to,...)
