Feature request (maybe call it bug fixing).

If I transcode file.mp3 (128k) to file.mp3 (64k) belight should first write a temp file something like file.mp3.tmp and when the transcoding is complete delete original file.mp3 and rename file.mp3.tm to file.mp3. Right now if I do such a thing a 0 byte file is generated.

Add GUI options for permanent command line switches like -noid3 and removing the -logfile switch.

Thanks and keep up the good work

After every other start I get the following error:

STEPS I've done:
"Fresh Install"
Start BeLight
Click on Presets -> load AC3 Dolby WAV 5.1
Close BeLight

When I now start BeLight it crashes. Perhaps some problem with the ini files since nothing else changed?
Huh I suddenly started to get this error out of no where. Though I didnt touch the AC3 tab only mp3 :S

Can you explain why would you like to have a such feature ?

It could be dangerous to delete original file if you have miss something in the command line...

Ok...I can add it in Advanced Settings.

because right now it generates a 0 byte file and maybe you could add a prompt asking whether the file should be over written or not.

Can you make the advanced settings store in a file also like the codec setings...like if I select disable log file it is always like that and the file can have a text entry like "logfile=0"

Bug Report:
when I add a file.mp3 and select bitrate etc in the mp3 tab then I edit the command line to change file-new.mp3 to file2.mp3 and run it instead of using file2.mp3 it still uses file-new.mp3 as the name of the file.

After clicking run the command like window doesnt disappear which I think should happen.

Just a question wouldn't it be better using the besweet.dll instead of the exe?

because it's easier for me to code with the exe...

Aah then another bug report BeLight doesn't remember old settings. If I uncheck "output logfile" encode a file and then restart belight the checkbox is again which should be unchecked.

Aah that is true...I am not much of a coder but I have seen that using external exes causes more problems than using libraries...but it works alright till now so no complaints here

Another request when "Restrict encoder to cbr" is checked the bar in mp3 tab should move in jumps i.e from 64 to 128 to 160 to 192 (just like mp2 tab)... right now it works ok if the slider is around the bitrate but seems slightly confusing.

A request for the future...I think this should be targeted at the BeSweet author but using the tag library from http://www.neilpopham.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/tag.html tag retention could be added.

Hi Kurtnoise13,

I just discovered you GUI by chance seeing it in your sig and I went to check it out.

I must say I was really impressed with it and have now switched to your GUI.

I find the default BeSweet GUI a bit mind boggling and confusing at times but your one is easier on the eyes and far better laid out and easier to get to grips with for noobs.

Great work I wish you luck with furthur development and improvements.

Keep up the great work. Love this GUI.

Nothing really fresh to add here, just wanna say: I can confirm this.
Source is ac3, producing aac.
At the end it says "Transcoding aborted" in info field, but the resulting file plays fine so far, correct length.
If possible in any way, the "pregain" progress should be indicated as such, or as a job itself. It was confusing that at first both the current track and total progress bar quickly reached 100% and then restarted while as seen below the total bars percent indication shows o% all the time.
Apart from this, great job, Kurt!

Yes I know...it can be confusing. I parse only the duration from the CLI that's why we have this problem but I'll try to tweak this.

Sorry for the delay concerning the new release...I try to add lst & mux input files and it's not easy with the new batch mode.
