Chapter marks define the thumbnails used in the menu. They are linked, not fully independent.

Hi Dean! Thanks for the updates

Question: It's possible to make the option "Subtitles OFF" don't disappear when I chose full transparency for Setup Menu? I'm using some of Drelin's custom menu templates and want to make Setup menu with full transparency, but when I turn the transparency to 100%, the option "Subtitles OFF" disappears...

The movie has 2 audio tracks and just 1 sub.

Thanks!

It disappears, because the LABEL is deleted.

Read the log carefully!

You need to burn these folders:

ADV_OBJ
HDDVD_TS
VIDEO_TS

You'll find them under your AVCHD_something\[HD-DVD]\movie_name\.

You can have ONE video per disc. You can't have 12 in one compilation.

Hum... so that's the reason!

I'll fill the words in label to some empty spaces and try to trick the software...

Thanks!

I don't see what is to be tricked here...

You have an option in MENU/Buttons... to change each LABEL like "Subtitles OFF". This is when you import a new file for a new compilation.

If you import an older compilation then all pages have all set (like with templates) and then you go to TITLE PROPERTIES and click the [MORE] button to change the template -> again "Buttons.." sub-tab.

The program does what user sets.

It doesn't work for me! I've tried all possible combinations, and even with all labels and words in "Menu buttons" guide, the result is the same: when in full setup transparency, the labels insist in disappearing. Where I'm going wrong? I made some images to ilustrate my doubt:

This is what happen when I leave Setup menu with some transparency:

And this is what happens in Setup menu with full transparency:

I wanna know if it's possible:
- Leave full transparency (without grey square)
- None text (blank) in "Setup Header"
- Audio tracks, Subs tracks, and "Subtitle OFF" label appearing in Setup menu.

Sorry for the inconvenience! I know that must be hard and a "pain in the ass" to respond every single post in here. This is not a big problem to me, and I can live with it

EDIT: Found it! For some reason, the labels in "Custom Menu page" (properties) was with some conflict with labels in "Default menu page". I just config the Setup Menu Page in custom AND default with 100% transparency and voilá! And to make the Setup header "Audio and subtitle setup" disappear, I changed the words for and empty space (just in "Custom Menu page").

EDIT2: Dean has updated multiAVCHD. Thanks, Dean!

multiAVCHD will generate as many chapter marks as you set. Since 732+ auto[12] is disabled, so you should get what you want.
Is it possible for you to offer the possibility to add a preference in the "Setting" tab that let us choose the number of chapters we'd like by default.

Because, in the Properties, we are compelled to apply the auto button for each track one by one (my compilation have up to 50 tracks sometimes).
The properties Auto button fonction should remain because it's very useful when we want to apply to a track a different number of chapters... (hope what I wrote was comprehensible)

Thanks

You simply need to play the .avs script with mplayer or MPC and report the error message (before clicking [YES] at the prompt).

Thanks Dean.

So is it normal I should be getting this with the latest build? I have not had it before.

No, it is not normal and I never got this error (even I am the one to write the program). Basically it means that your PC can't encode the menu with your current codec configuration.

Once you play the AviSynth script you'll know why is this happening.

Thinking about something... Going after the volume split and the playlist merge I encountered a case when I needed a playitem/title to be split to multiple titles at each chapter point.

Basically it would allow users to go back from camcoder joined scenes to having each scene in a separate title or (another example) - to load a concert video with 20 songs, with chapter marks at each song start, getting each song as a separate title/playlist. It would allow rearranging or any other manipulation PER CHAPTER (since a chapter segment would become a TITLE).

Since M2TS/MPEG join function does the merge, I think that a chapter-split option would be useful to do the opposite (either for joined m2ts/mpeg or for single files).

And I added [Title List menu] button in the preview section of MENU tab. I guess the preview will be available soon.

And some important changes to re-author mode (speed improvement).

And a fix when using hidden titles (AGAIN!)

And an option to use [merge playlists] button with Blu-ray discs' playlists (or re-authored discs imported in normal author mode) - that is when playlists are not from regular AVCHD structures and may contain menu playitems or pop-up menus.

Dean

Hi Dean, there are more people getting this very same error including myself as I reported in my last post. Can you be more specific on "play the AviSynth script" thing? My problem still persists unless I turn the media split OFF. Thank you.

Sorry Dean,

I mistyped the previous error, it should have read:

Encoding static XMB menu page [1/1] [static title thumbnail]
Cannot detect file size: (Z:\TempStore\multiTEMP-20100304\20100304-123456-MM001.264)
Error encoding main menu page #1!

When I check that file in the temp folder it is 0 bytes.

However, the .264 file located in the same location as the original .mkv file has the expected size set by the transcode options for the media.
