Please keep this thread clean. So, no

* War about the file list features.
* War about Matroska support.

Thanks.

It's really a shame about no matroska support. There is really no way to change your mind? I'm currently investigating into encoding a file and audio and will later, when finished, test merging into a matroska container. I could help you get it right IF you want. I'll respect your wish if you say no.

Lain said eariler that he will do an interface to batch convert MP4 to MKV, with surely more options than what RA does.

Do you like 24MB installers?
With all that removed, the installer shall be around 6 MB.

Also, I'm pretty sure you already have those so...

Of all those, I can say I don't have MPC. What is Helix Codecs anyway?
On a side note, you DO know that the installer leaves all those installation files in RA's direcotry, yes? They just lie there like useless files and take up space.

Helix Codecs are YUV/"something else" used to decode the output of AVS so x264 can read it... or is it the player...

Ah, so I take it it is needed for the ConvertToYV12 statement in the avisynth file.

no, IIRC it was to playback AVS in MPC since I didn't have xvid_vfw.dll.
ConvertToYV12 is for x264

It did say there was no library for YV12 for compression. I was just figuring if it was necessary to have Helix installed when using RA. Although I already have it installed, would it work if it was uninstalled later, since it will be removed from the installer?

1. why is your homepage down and there is just a white html with dls ?

2. okay I understand what you mean and when it just lays useless there then its better to remove them and anyways 6mb is a great installer (compared to the other RA's installers)

3. could you add a "shutdown" option to RA5 ? like when I go to holidays and I have 200eps animes to encode and I don't want to keep running the pc for 6 weeks but just for as long as the encode needs. Would that be "madeable" ?

anyways just keep up the great work and thank you for inventing such a ingenious app

No more fancyness and useless time spending. I found a new hobby, which is photography! So less sitting in front of the PC, less time for dev.

[edit]

it's no html, it's XHTML Strict 1.0

I'm gonna test it ... Today I ran tests on RA5 Alpha 1 and it did pretty good for my sources, the only problem I spotted was the file list but it's going to be changed so nothing to report...
Thanks as always for your work Sirber!

I added the missing DLL to the installer.

MSVCP70.DLL is needed by avs2wav and not everybody has it.
