true here it is for h264 which is quite amazing:

i still have a 960 around somewhere to show that this is very old tech.
h264 high 4:4:4 predictive L5.1
this profile allows up to 14 bit only 8 bit is supported AFAIK. i have a 10 bit file around now it does not work.

In your screenshot, its outputting NV12 though, that is not extremely lossless from a 4:4:4 encode.
Hardware support of 4:4:4 decode is a troublesome topic, as the pipelines are often made assuming 4:2:0 only.

Once the HEVC RExt support arrives, I'll certainly need to change a bunch of stuff to support different chroma formats, and wouldn't be surprised if no renderers can deal with "native" delivery of such formats.
