Says the guy who keeps responding to all the people he supposedly doesn't care about. Seems to be a bit of a derangement you have.

Odd, I'm one of his paid users. He doesn't seem too concerned about keeping me happy, or even behaving rationally for that matter.

Don't which one is "better" between this one and MPEG2DecPlus.
Interesting, thank you for the link jpsdr. But that looks like just a DGIndex fork. Not seeing MPEG2Dec there.

Oh... You're right !
I've kept since a long time both this one and MPEG2DecPlus in my project directories, but i've just realised that i've never opened the project of DGIndex_mod...
I thought i had, but i was mistaken. I only opened the MPEG2DecPlus (a little while ago already) project with visual studio (2017 i think at the time) just to check if i was able to build it. According my memories, building DGIndex with VS2017 failed, but the DLL succed.
I thought i also made the same experiment with DGIndex_mod, but i was mistaken.
At least, there is no question about which could be "better"...
The only thing i still didn't check is if MPEG2DecPlus implement all the features of original, especialy the only mode i'm using IEEE-1180 Reference... Well, in the very very very ultra rare occasions i'm still working using DVDs as source...

Edit
Looking at the code of MPEG2DecPlus it seems that IEEE-1180 Reference is implemented.

The Deblock filter was removed from MPEG2DecPlus, IIRC.

Up until recently (2020/05/13), the function was simply commented out. Chikuzen had even updated it to support additional planar colorspaces. The standalone Deblock plugin however does the same and supports all 8-16bit and float planar YUV colorspaces. Both share the same function name so I don't think anyone will missing out on anything from Deblock not being included in MPEG2DecPlus.

Jeepers, that's a bit on the rough side, like giving an anonymous backhander I'm sure you wouldn't like that said to you, so why would you say it to someone else about trivial things ?

I'm also a consumer of dg stuff and am happy with the product(s) and quality of service, so you must have a bee in your bonnet about something.

Wishing you well and recommending you consider chilling a bit and enjoying not dying of covid19 by doing sensible life-saving things for you and your family

Hydra in that thread is not DG. However, creating a bunch of personalities for himself on his forum which are also complimenting each other certainly is an advanced form of schizophrenia.
He'll probably delete that thread now. Just for fun, I registered on his forum and made a joke about these multiple personalities. My account was deleted instantly. You're only welcome there if you're willing to massage his ego.

You sure ?

Hydra
1) Noun:
(Greek mythology) monster with nine heads; when struck off each head was replaced by two new ones
"Hydra was slain by Hercules"
2) Noun:
Small tubular solitary freshwater hydrozoan polyp

Excepts From Wikipedia,

Biologists are especially interested in Hydra because of their regenerative ability – they do not appear to die of old age, or indeed to age at all. [DAMN!]

Hydra does not have a recognizable brain or true muscles. [who'd a though it].

[hehehe, 9 heads, no brain]

The original subject of this thread is no longer being discussed so I'm sure no one will mind if I close it now.
