You are welcome.
But please check where i marked; Celine Dion (CD.ts has no issues while MC.ts has) Even mediainfo or any other tools show this MC as interlaced, i suspect it has pulldown while CD is a real interlaced video. What do you think? EDIT: One more time; here they are: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.ph...18#post1217818 Last edited by rica; 1st December 2008 at 01:49. |

Looks like the cropping function is broken.
Appears to be over cropping. edit: happens on all the sources I have atm. oh and I think this effort was worth another $15 Last edited by Audionut; 1st December 2008 at 11:41. |

Actually, it is cropping as desired but the SIZ line at the bottom of the DGV file is being set to the cropped size and not the uncropped size. So the source filter crops the already cropped size. I'll release a fix. I will also check if DGAVCDecNV is affected. Thank you for pointing this out. And thanks for the extra donation.

I noticed in the first post you said that there isn't a valid open source decoder at this time... may I ask why existent decoders (for example ffmpeg/libavcodec) are inadequate?
PS: sorry if you already answered this, but I couldn't find an answer... |

That's OT for this thread and could lead to a flame fest, so I'm just going to say that my opinion is well-known and if you search you can find out about it. Please don't discuss it further here. I have no plans to make a VC1 source filter based on libavcodec.

That fixed it.
Another issue I found is when trimming material. The resulting .dgv file has 2 beginning frames of macro blocked garbage. If I set to save and demux, the demuxed file loads fine back into DGVC1IndexNV, but the .dgv file displays the garbage. Thanks. |

@rica
Something is strange with that MC.ts i would even say DGVC1Dec handles it the best way (realy robust parser) compared with most other Software stuff, in my Software Framework it crashes after 40 frames been transcoded (also heavy corrupted result) Haali-Splitter->(Windows Media Decoder DMO) -> H.264 CD.ts works nicely got it down from 22->6 (very easy entropy) Scary about MC.ts i see a complete different beginning through the corrupted result see -> http://s11.directupload.net/images/081201/9dt36qc7.png so i guess those damaged frames got skipped by Donalds Parser entirely

CruNcher,
Thanks for the feedback. I must admit this MC clip is one of the most difficult ones i've ever met. I've been making some trials for 3 hours this evening. When i complete the trials i want to share my experience here on this thread if i get a permission from neuron2. |
