Good data rate for MP4.

Has anyone found the magic data rate for when converting blu-rays to MP4?

I've been using 1920x1080 at 15000 and i can't tell a differance.

Short answer: There is no magical bitrate. There is no "best". Every video has its own bitrate that looks good.
Long answer: Use CRF to decide what bitrate you "need". In other words, just go from crf 20 or so up until you can see the difference. When you find the first one that brings worse quality, lower the CRF to the highest one still giving you the quality you wish for and keep using that.
