How does the TV type/mf changes anything?

I use my program with PS3 connected via HDMI to 42" FullHD Panasonic TH-42PY85P and it is fine.

edit.. you probably meant that you have SD slot on the TV? I tested mine and it doesn't work, neither Playstation3 would see AVCHDs if stored on SD card.

Hi deank,

My Panasonic TH-46PZ81B TV supports playback of high-def MPEG-4 AVC via satellite and via its SD card slot. So far I've only been able to play MPEG-4 AVC files captured using a Panasonic HDC-SD9EB-S high-def camcorder.

Here's what is stated in the TV's user manual: -

Is there a chance to send me 10 seconds recording that you TV plays?

If your recorder saves it on a SD card - please archive the root folder of your card.

This will be much appreciated!

Dean

p.s. I think my TV does not support avchd via sd...

p.s.2. Initially my Playstation3 would not play AVCHD from SD card, but now I downloaded the Panasonic SD format utility (sdfv2003.exe) and it works now!

p.s.3. It might be not the formatting, but putting AVCHD folder inside ROOT\PRIVATE folder.

Sure. Here you go: -

http://rapidshare.de/files/41234753/...ource.zip.html

Just transfer the files over to a Fat32 formatted SD card and they should play. It does for me

Thanks. It plays okay on PS3. My TV doesn't like it but it doesn't support it probably.

Can you test to play anything that multiavchd generates?

You can use your own encoded material as a source AVCHDfolder. You should see menu and stuff..

Ok....

Using the AVC video file in the sample I uploaded, I've just tried to generate a new encode.

Somewhere during the process, this happens: -

Cheers

No I didn't... I wondered why your "multiAVCHD.rar" file was a massive 114MB!

And sorry but I don't download anything from torrent sites

Essentially, myself and other Panasonic AVC camcorder users require an application that will allow us to transfer multiple .mts files saved on our PC's HDD's to an SD/SDHC card for playback on our Panasonic TV's.

Cheers

I got it working on my Samsung 1500 and Sony S350 player. I have to burn just the BDMV to a DVD for it to work.

Is it possible to have no menu? I did some HD quicktime to m2ts (used ripbot) and then used this program to make the combined avchd. If I select the first item in the list it plays every m2ts without going back to the menu. It would be good if I did it again to automatically start with the first one and then stop at the end one without having to use a menu.

Sequental playback is now an option in SETTINGS tab.

Option added to skip playing TOP menu. Playback will start from Title#1 if you select it.

This is as of build 74. Minor bug was found. Update.

Thanks for the link Dean.

I gave the stripped version a try but sadly all my TV says is this: -

When I compare the encode generated by multiAVCHD with the one I uploaded, there seem to be a couple of folders missing: -

The "AVCHDTN" folder contains a THUMB.TDT and a THUMB.TID file. And the "IISVPL" folder contains a 00000.VPL file.

Yes, they are missing. That's why I needed your folder structure. I'll look into it and will PM you for some other tests.

I'll be glad if we could make it work on panny tvs

This could be possible if top menu is generated on-the-fly, which is not our case for now.

If top menu is not a motion one but still image may be it will work. I'm working on it either way.

Do you know how to inject a new image into a menu m2ts file?

I'm trying to generate one frame 1920x1080 AVC video stream from scratch (or from jpg).

So far I was able to generate one such file, but in mpeg2 format and PS3 shows it, but won't accept it for menu file.

If some one can help - it will be great.

Here is a sample mts file (500kb)

I can easily do all I need with AviSynth and x264 encoder, but I don't want to force users to install.

I need to:

1) Use background image
2) Put some text on top of bg image
3) Convert still image to one-frame avc video
