area scaling

Help, I saw a thread on here a year ago about a fair type of scaling based on rescaling a grid, you might call it pixel mixing or area scaling. That idea always stuck with me and I found some programs that do it, and an analysis of the results. I believe it was a female sounding username who started it.

I could follow up on the proper thread then.

It was about resizing a grid and finding the contribution of the pixels, technically it's between a box and triangle filter.
