Best app for region code removal?
I have a few region A blu-rays on my hard drive and I'm looking for a region code removal tool. I tried using BDEdit but it didn't even notice that they're locked.
Any other small apps that specialize in region code removal? |

If one removes the code, it will work anywhere.
There is no such disc with a changing code, for this would imply it's rewritable ![]() You may however refer to the option of changing the code of the player, which is a different thing altogether. Anyway, unlike the early days, now a BD player is a cheap as 60€ so one can buy all three regions for just under 200€, which was 1/10th of what an entry player costed when BD was launched.

The whole region coding thing is an absolute mess anyway & should be scrapped as a mandatory part of set top players.
AnyDVD HD simply ignores this, so having region coding forced onto set top players only goes to put physical media at a disadvantage and that is not a good thing. Replicated content should always be King.
