which burner is better?

is the pioneer 104 better than the a03 for compatibility with dvd-r discs?

Don't think so, I have both drives and there is no difference I can see

The A04 should support 2 more media at 2x speed, it allows 6x DVD reading (A03: 4x), can write to highspeed CD-RWs (A03 can't), supports UDMA33 (A03: only MW-DMA).

The A03 supports reading of Key2Audio V2. Could someone check this for A04?

the bad thing is that the pioneer A04 cannot write in DAO 96 modus
