Vcdxbuild

Same prob here, after having installed 105b2, chapters don't work anymore (previously used 103b5, worked like a charm always, until I got a CRC error in CCE after upgrading my pc....memory seems fine though) + I get the impression that movie quality has degraded some, even though my settings are still all at default. I got magnificent quality in the past. I installed the CCE CRC patch but now the chapters have disappeared. I always use vcdxbuild to build the images with fixed chapters every 600 secs. I checked the XML files and there's only 1 chapter mentioned now. Retried it after having replaced vcdimager with all the vcdimager files included in the 103b5 package but that didn't work either.

Gonna reinstall the 1.0.3b5 version and retest everything. I just hope the CRC error won't come on again.

v104 never worked for me....DVD2AVI remained dead....

anyone else got a suggestion for the chapters in 1.0.5b2 ?

Yes

@Patjen

Well, exactly the same problem:

* No Change Picture

and

* No DVD chapters

in the version 1.0.5 Build 2. Seems to be a bug.

I used to work with 1.0.4 Build 2 and it was just fine for me...

Weird, the chapters, titlepicture and changecd works perfectly here. Could one of you post one of the xml files (the one where changecd should be in).

That is weird, It's far from complete. The last entry should be </videocd>

Besides that, I can't see any entries for the ChangeCD picture. Would you mind posting your log file and dvd2svcd.ini

Hi there,

I have the same problem with the changecd picture not showing.
I did some testing with the first chapter of 'Pitch Black' and as you can
see, there's no entry for the changecd picture in the xml although it was selected
in the cd image creation tab.

ChangeCD is only activated if there's more than one CD-image being made. It would be kind stupid to add ChangeCD on the last CD.

Oh noooooooo, i'm such an id**t! Arrrrrgh, you're completely right, it really doesn't make any sense to add the changecd picture with only one cd!

I had the idea of testing the changecd picture feature because a friend gave me some SVCD he made with this option and with these the chapters are not working. If pressing NEXT on the remote the dvd-player jumps directly to the changecd picture although he did dvdchapters with vcdxbuild.

So i wanted to test it on my own without encoding a whole movie but as you mentioned this is not really a clever idea with only one or two chapters. I think this was a 'brainbug'.

Sorry for waisting your time.

Greetings,
gerti67

aha

ahh!!!

well i downloaded 1.05 build 2 to test it with an chapter file !!! and later i tested this version with starship troopers. BUT starship troopers german is a doublesided dvd so i ripped first the part one and used this rip with dvd2svcd. the problem remains logicaly the same part one= only ONE image file but on this file NORMALLY a there must be a cdchangepic. my idea is to applicate for the new versions an option to select the cdchange pic too when only is one imagefile. so you can resolve the problem when people download new versions of dvd2svcd. so everybody can test it on a little chapter of a movie and so you dont must encode an entire film. what u say about this dvd2svcd

ps: sorry for my bad english

The best "bug free" build I have used so far is 1.04 build 3pre. Everything works great for me with this build. I see 1.05 build 3pre is online, I'll try it this weekend. Thanks for the great program!

Well

@dvd2svcd:
Well I', sorry to say but it makes a sence to add the change picture to a single CD rip.

I rips all my DVD's not in a complete rip. I just rip it in two or three folders depending on how long the movie is. So everytime I rip with DVD2SVCD I do a single CD rip but I need a changing picture too.

Anyway, Thanks for this great tool.

Mari.
