2 questions:

- how many softwares can do that?

Thank you very much.

Thank you, I'll be here all week.

Sorry, but I'm afraid your thread title and first post leave me dumbfounded as to what you're asking about, and I have the nagging feeling I'm not alone with that...

I guess a text/hex viewer might be able to do it, if the URL is in there. Or probably VLC...

In truth, I downloaded a small movie on a site of "cool" with the extension.wmx which I read with WMP11.

http://www.climespace.fr/nos_metiers...le_canada.html

Its properties are:
- duration: 12.35"
- bitrate: 300kbit/s
- resolution: 320*240
- aspect ratio: 4/3
- audio codec: WMA 9.1 32Kbp 32khz 1-pass CBR
- video codec: WMV7

- Final size: 197 octets

I suppose that it is a Windows media file.
But how to obtain such a size with such a duration?
You understand me?

A .wmx file is just a shortcut file. It points to the real file. Do a google search on ".wmx file".

Doesn't the size of 197 bytes make you the slightest bit suspicious?

Here's the content of your WMX file in all it's glory:

Code:
<ASX version = "3.0">
<TITLE>Climespace présente la centrale Canada</TITLE>
 <ENTRY>
<REF HREF = "http://www.climespace.fr/videos/climespace_centrale_canada_bas_debit.wmv" />
 </ENTRY>
</ASX>
See that URL in there? *That* is your video - and I'm quite sure that's a boatload more bytes than just 197... (at least as long as the octet/byte exchange rate is still 1 for 1; I haven't checked the foreign data exchange rates lately... )

Like I said, use a text editor. And your favourite downloading tool or browser.

That's nothing - I have an entire 3,000 file music collection in a single .m3u file. It's amazing.
