StudioDV 7.0's SVCD template Vs. DVD2SVCD
Afternoon !
Firstly, let me point out that I use DVD2SVCD all the time for DVD backups. I am familiar with the other input options available. I had thought of using the AVI2SVCD option to convert .AVI's generated from Pinnacle's StudioDV software and FireWire card to SVCD's. However I have just had to order an upgrade to Version 7 (StudioDV) because my old version isn't XP compatible (this is about the forth piece of hardware or software I have had to upgrade already thanks to XP, how many back-handers do u think MS took from the other big boys to bring out such an imcompatible OS). Whilst I was reading the features of StudioDV 7.0 that I have just stumped up the cash for I noticed it said that it contained templates for SVCD creation. I wondered if anyone here has tried this and can provide any feedback on its merits or lack of them compared to just producing the AVI and then getting DVD2SVCD / CCE2.5 to do all the fun stuff.
