m2ts - no audio anymore, please help with haali media splitter

Hi all,

I don't know what I did over the past few days but no matter what version of mpc-hc, ffdshow, haali media splitter I use, I cannot get audio from some m2ts files. For example playing This Is It m2ts file where i could previously get... well audio... now shows no audio stream at all in mpc-hc.

Here is a screenshot of the filters list in mpc-hc.. See haali media splitter running in the tray.. just no audio. Any ideas.. Driving me mad

All I can think of is that I installed the latest adobe photoshop so not sure if it installed any crazy filters... but still.. haali media spliter is defo loading up.

I have had bad experiences with using Haali media splitter for m2ts files. I suggest enabling the internal MPEG PS/TS/PVA filter. It is much better at handling m2ts files.

Thanks dansrfe, enabling internal one works. Does haali take bug reports.... ie would mediainfo be any good to him in the case of the 2 m2ts files that I'm having trouble with.

Haali seems to be mostly inactive nowadays so a bug report might not get any results in the end. Having said that the internal MPEG PS/TS/PVA filter is a bit better than Haali Media Splitter for handling .m2ts and .ts files because:

a) It has PGS subtitle support.

b) It properly identifies audio/video/subtitle tags and accurately tags them in MPC's left click navigation menu for easy selection.

Haali Media Splitter does not do these things.
