How to stop DirectShow from phoning home when opening mp4 video?

Whenever I drag an mp4 video file onto GraphStudioNext it hangs for around 10 seconds before displaying the DirectShow filters needed to play the file. Meanwhile, my firewall tells me GraphStudioNext is trying to make outbound connections on port 80 to a few IP address. I've looked at my firewall logs and searched the addresses, and it looks like the connections are to Akamai and Microsoft. The DirectShow filters are fine and I am able to play the video within the program, so I don't know why it wants to phone home.

This phoning home behavior also happens to any program, be it AvsPmod, MeGUI, or VirtualDub, that runs an avisynth script with the DirectShowSource() function, specifically when the function opens an mp4 video. This is why I believe the problem lies with DirectShow and not any individual program.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It sounds like your computer has been infected with malware.

Besides, you didn't say what is the MP4 demuxer and what is the H264 decoder that the applications are using.
