I remember reading somewhere there are some issues regarding rew ff when using nero for burning ....read doom9s guides try using a diffrent burning prog .........I am using DVD2SVCD vcdimager and fireburner ........every back up I have made has been a compleate sucsess.....and I would not go back to using dvd2avi tmpeg nero......but thats only my opinion most people here have more knowlage that i do .....but it works for me

I can confirm that the problem of fast forward not working in Philips DVD 712/722 is caused by Nero not burning up-to-spec quality. SVCDs work great in Philips machines if you author them with VCDimager and burn with BlindWrite, for example.
