How to setup DVD-RB 0.84a with HC 0.14?
Hi guys!
I would like to try out the HC (0.14) with DVD-RB (0.84a). I've looked through the threads but still haven't found how to do it. I have copied the HCbatch_014.exe and HC_CLI.exe to my DVD-RB directory. But I also need an hc.ini file, right? How do I make one? I tried making one with the following settings: -profile best -matrix notch -maxbitrate 9000 -log D:\DVD-RB\Work\log.log But as soon as DVD-RB is about to start the encoding I always get an error. I also would like to know more about how I go about to use OPV encoding with the HC encoder. I hope you can help me...

Thank you, but I have already done that; Pointed the path for QuEnc to HC_Batch. What about the hc.ini? Is it needed?
EDIT: Hmm, looks like I set the QuEnc path to HC_CLI. Could that be it? I will try to set the path directly to HC.exe instead and see if that solves anything . EDIT2: Yep, that was it! I have a PAL DVD (Cold Creek Manor) I'm trying to encode. It's progressive but HC "sees" the DVD as interlaced. How can I set the hc.ini to progressive?

If you point quenc path to HCbatch_014.exe it will work fine but you can make an .ini file with some additional settings and put in the same dir as HC
Ex. hc.ini file: *matrix mpeg *profile best *dc_prec 10 *WAIT 0
