Heh?!

For NTSC to PAL conversion you need:

Prosoniq TimeFactory for perfect results with perfect pitch correction
or
BeSweet for perfect results without (!) pitch correction (people won't sound the same, it's like they caught the mickey mouse virus )

I have version 1.2 of TimeFactory, I can't seem to convert more than 30 minutes at a time with it

After you get a "PAL" WAV, you can always encode it to whatever you like with whatever application you have

You will find that Steinbergs Wavelab has timeshift and pitch correct functions.
I remember seeing in settings somewhere that it has some presets for Pal, NTSC. May have been in the audio capture features.
It also does more than 30 minutes

@ specise
WaveLab does not deliver good results.
Cool edit also doesn't.

@Awatef
I just got a demo version, like you...my question: how is it possible to convert ntsc-wav to pal-wav with TimeFactory ? As there are no buttons like "convert from ntsc to pal" or so...
You can change the DURATION in seconds and percent as well in bpm.
Which setting do I have to do in TimeFactory if I want to convert from ntsc to pal ?
What is the right duration-value (percent or seconds) if the source is in ntsc-format and wanted to get an pal out of it ?

NTSC 29.97fps is very rare ... if you buy DVD.
Most shows available on DVD are plain 23.976fps, or telecined from 23.976fps to 29.97fps
So take 23.976fps as reference, unless you really have a 29.97fps DVD.

For real 29.97fps, you will have to directly convert the video to 24.975 and then accelerate to 25: 100.1%

From 25 to 29.97, you'll convert the video directly to 30fps, then decelerate to 29.97: 99.9% (better go the 25to23.976fps way if it not interlaced)

For 29.97to25 and 25to29.97 scripts, look in the avisynth forum.

From 23.976 to 25: 104.271%

the sh*t is, that TimeFactory is doing the job not with any longer files....so what about SoundForge's (6.0) Pitch-Shifting or Time-Stretching-function, how's the quality of the resulting (converted) audio and which values to enter into these functions to convert from NTSC23,976 and NTSC29,970 to PAL ?

The New Adobe edition of cool edit time/pitch works well. I tested it last night and could not hear any difference between it and the orginal.

I don't see any. Everything appears to be identical except they changed the desktop icon.
